Default Deliberate sinking!

Whilst for BF Enthusiasts the big event in Plymouth this week has been the maiden voyage of Pont Aven (long may she float ), many hundreds of local people will line the coast tomorrow to watch a ship sinking.

The old Royal Navy frigate Scylla will be towed out of Plymouth to be sunk in Whitsand Bay to the west in order to provide an artificial reef for sport divers.

Large crowds are expected and the area will be provided with temporary car parks in farmers' fields. Fortunately I can see the site from my garden so I will be able to avoid the crush.

A Maiden voyage on Wednesday; a Final voyage on Saturday.

The same kind of thing was done to one Gozo-channel ferry of Malta, they sunk it so some divers could visit it
