Member´s "ranks" disappeared

Just a note, I seen that the "ranks" of members what have been going from Kerisnel to Pont Aven are disappeared somehow.. not sure whether it´s a bug or you decided to drop that ?

The idea of member ranks has now been dropped.
I'm not sure exactly why, I will endeavour to find out.

I think this took place after discuusions between Dan and Andy, it certainly wasn't done by me.

In saying that I feel that it was a good move by the administrators, as it makes for a sense of equality, I commend this action to you all.

I think, it looks perhaps a bit funny with just that little point in there. But I think there is as well a good point in dropping those.
I think that previously some members have just been posting something to get their rank higher what is of course not the purpose of this board. And if everyone has just the same little boring point there, members are not feeling tempted anymore to post for that reason.

The member ranks were removed as a result of suggestions from a number of members, who thought that they were encouraging people to post more in order to reach the various ranks / titles.

Good idea, I've noticed that they can cause a lot of non-relavent postings.

Although I must say this kind of ranking is more equal or should I say "fair" than on some other forum Actually I had much more liked to stay as "Bretagne" than "Mont St. Michel" and for sure some were rather satisfied with their "Quiberon"
Never thought of posting more to get higher though, as it wouldn´t have helped the quality always and I don´t have such a good head full of new topics, either.

Haha cool. I've visited a couple of times usually staying over for a few days before carrying on to Austria Switzerland and Italy before returning via eastern France. I must stay longer next time.
