Anyone see the repeat of "The Booze Cruise" on ITV this evening?
Various shots of Dover, with P&O and Seafrance ships, plus some onboard shots (supposedly, assuming they actually filmed it on board) on one of the P&O ships that they sailed over on. Couldn't tell you which ships, though. |

I just watched it, and thought it was a very good programme.
Not much on the ferries, but a funny story line - and a romantic ending (lol). Will have to be carefull when getting sunburn in future!! |

They supposedly sailed on Seafrance (hence the comment about being booked on a french ship) but all oboard scenes were aboard Ben-My-Chree.

I can see the reference, however, they always showed exterior shots of P&O ships when they were "onboard".
Thought the comment that being first in the car lanes means boarding first, and the french safety announcement being longer than the english version was great!

Yann, you may be able to get a video of it. I am not entirely certain, but I think France use VHS PAL, the same video system as the UK, so maybe someone here has a tape they could send you, or you can buy a copy somewhere?

I don't think it has ever been released on video, but I did tape it as well.
I'm not also sure which video system France has, but if it is the same, Yann, I can probably let you have a copy. |
