Hmm, a bit cheesy. All they need id David Hasselhoff on the bridge, the computers talking to him and a moving red light form right to left at the bow.....

I think they should call them Bill and Ben.
Or possibly Bodgeit and Scarper! |

Do you think as you board you hear http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-E8u2o48ts
"Wight Ryder, a shadowy flight into the dangerous world of Ryde, which does not exist" |

The popular media are very fond of Americanisms -- more exciting than Britishisms! (My personal dislike is "released" from hospital as opposed to "discharged" from hospital. I suspect the former is an Americanism but there, as here, surely you are released from prison but discharged from hospital. Most hospital patients in this country, save those detained under the Mental Health Act, are there voluntarily. It's otherwise with prisons.) Thus Wightlink can't possibly fail with WIGHT RYDER !

Just as long as they don't paint them yellow!
When Wightlink refer to departures from the south of Portsmouth Harbour, where exactly do they mean? Are you supposed to launch yourself off the Round Tower? |

Very boring - particularly as they couldn't be bothered to think of an original name for the second one, just calling it Wight Ryder II
.

Well I guess my Wight Sea (for Wight Light) and then Wight Light & Wight Night were not approved of!!!! WRI & WRII a nightmare for the administration people in Wightlink. WRII is booked in for annual refit as her safety certificate is running out. However, the clerk writes WRI and gets distracted....so in WRI goes for refit whilst WRII carrys on.......until Oh No!!! We cannot run her anymore she is out of certification. Better hire Island scene for the 500 minute criossing then.
