Exclamation 2005 Sailing Schedule

The sailing schedule for the 2005 season will be released today, Thursday 21st October which includes sailings up to and including the 10th November 2005.

The basic schedule of operations will be as follows:

Portsmouth/St Malo
Val de Loire operating schedule as per 2003 (one departure each day).

Portsmouth/Caen
Normandie & Mont St Michel as per 2004 season.
Additional ‘fastcraft sailings’ on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Depart Portsmouth: 0700 (arrive 1145)
Depart Caen: 1230 (arrive 1500)

Portsmouth/Cherbourg
A new ‘fastcraft’ service will be operated by Brittany Ferries between 16th March and 10th November.

2 return sailings Monday – Thursday.
Depart Portsmouth: 0800 (arrive 1200) and 1545 (arrive 1930).
Depart Cherbourg: 1245 (arrive 1500) and 2015 (arrive 2200)

1 return sailing Friday – Sunday.
Depart Portsmouth: 1545 (arrive 1930)
Depart Cherbourg: 2015 (arrive 2200)

Poole/Cherbourg
Barfleur & Vitesse as per 2004 season.

Plymouth/Roscoff
Bretagne & Pont-Aven operating under a 2003 style schedule.

Plymouth/Santander
Pont-Aven as per 2004 schedule.

Roscoff/Cork
Pont-Aven – Departs Roscoff on Friday evenings as per 2003 schedule.

Portsmouth/Le Havre
Awaits approval from the necessary regulatory bodies before schedules are released.


*NB: The fastcraft currently appears on the schedules as "FAST CRAFT 01". The craft to be used is yet to be confirmed, as is the name under which she will operate.

Andy, according to the schedules on the French BF website from mid-March to late-March and early-November to mid-November there will be only one round trip on Mondays to Thursdays, departing Portsmouth 0800 (arrive 1200) and departing Cherbourg 1730 (arrive 1930). The two round trips service runs from late-March to late October.

Probably better to see the Cork services back to "normal" times. General sigh of relief from most people here when I mentioned it.

Even keeping the current winter timings all year would be ok as well...

Actually the French site has the Cork timings up now - arr in Cork 10:30 dep 17:30 so the layover and coach tours must be working out well for BF

I was in Weymouth recently and I saw the Elanora sitting in port unused, but then it's not particularly that big anyway.
